Iconic beachside fast-casual restaurant chooses Minstrel Crossing as first location in greater Baltimore metropolitan region in measured expansion plan
Baltimore, MD (October 8, 2015) – The Mullan Contracting Company has won a contract to handle all tenant build-out activities for a new 8,000 square foot Grotto Pizza restaurant that completed a lease within Minstrel Crossing, in the Columbia section of Howard County. A recognized fixture for vacationers in Reboboth Beach, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland, the fast-casual restaurant chose this 9500 square foot shopping center near Snowden River Parkway as its first location within the greater Baltimore metropolitan marketplace. Grotto Pizza also operates a restaurant in the Gambrills area of Anne Arundel County.
“We utilize a carefully thought out and measured expansion strategy, and open approximately one new location every eighteen months or so,” explained Jeffrey Gosnear, Vice President of Grotto Pizza. “Our ultimate goal is to take the time to do things right. After extensive research, we determined this site as an ideal location to support our restaurant concept. It features the perfect balance of dense residential neighborhoods within close proximity, as well as mature business communities. This provides both daytime and nighttime traffic opportunities.”
Grotto Pizza features locations throughout the Delaware and Maryland shore region including Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach, as well as sites in Pennsylvania. The restaurant is recognized for its oven-fresh pizza selections featuring sixteen different varieties, as well as submarine sandwiches, burgers, calzones and salads.
