Existing building will be demolished to make way for new 3100 square foot structure
Baltimore, MD (June 17, 2015) – The Mullan Contracting Company has won a contract from Royal Farms Store to construct a new 3100 square foot convenience store situated just over the Baltimore County line at 2330 Smith Avenue in Baltimore City. The scope of the project, which is expected to be completed this fall, involves the complete demolition of the existing structure which fronts on Smith Avenue and is adjacent to Greenspring Avenue (Baltimore Exit 22).
The store construction will reflect the updated design unveiled by Royal Farms Store including an all-glass exterior storefront and rooftop cupola. The interior will be highlighted by extensive finishes and state-of-the-art refrigeration and kitchen equipment. The brand, which competes in the crowded convenience story category with 7-11 and Wawa in the Mid-Atlantic marketplace has accelerated its store opening and improvement strategy in recent years.
Royal Farms, which is recognized for its “world-famous” fried chicken, also markets a line of breakfast sandwiches, as well as made-to-order regular sandwiches, wraps and subs. The 2330 Smith Avenue services a mature housing community that stretches into the Pikesville and Mt. Washington area.
