Baltimore, MD (June 12, 2015) – The Mullan Contracting Company has completed construction on a 7,920 square building housing a new dealership and service facility for the Maserati brand of automobiles. Part of the Priority 1 Automotive Group, Penny Design Group, LLC was the architect and Comprehensive Structural Solutions, LLC performed structural engineering work.
Located on 720 Kenilworth Avenue, the building is positioned adjacent to the existing Priority 1 Automotive Group dealerships that markets vehicle brands including BMW and Porsche. The structure consists of a glass storefront system, with support from a metal panel facade. The interior features sales and administrative offices, a showroom floor and separate service and repair bays, as well as a parts room and storage space.
The Maserati of Baltimore dealership sells vehicles such as the Ghibli sedan, GranTurismo convertible and coupe and the Ghibli Quattroporte Sedan. Maserati is an Italian luxury car brand that was founded nearly 100 years ago and produces approximately 75,000 vehicles on an annual basis. It is now owned by Fiat S.p.A.
“Priority 1 Automotive Group was in need of a dedicated facility for its Maserati line, in response to increased interest and activity in the brand,” explained Joseph Rode, President of The Mullan Contracting Company. “We executed a strategy that enabled Priority 1 and its customers and vendors to maintain normal business activity on the site throughout the construction process.”
Last year, Mullan Contracting completed renovation activities on a new 22,000 square foot dealership owned by Norris Automotive Group, located at 8525 Baltimore-National Pike in the Ellicott City submarket of Howard County.
